CALL TO ACTION!

We are very happy to officially premiere our second television ad!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJhD5hLlUGQ

Entitled “Zero-Sum Game”, this is the first of a new strategy and series of TV spots.  Unlike our first TV ad that focused on the desire of Democrats to have illegal immigrants covered under any health insurance reform and featured Sheila Jackson-Lee, our next series of ads will help the viewer understand conservatism and challenge them to vote conservative values.

The advantage of producing ads this way is that the ads will have a long life.  The illegal immigrants ad could only be played for a short period of time.  The ad that we are unveiling today can be used for years to come.  This will be the goal our future productions – steer away from time-specific topics and focus more on helping the voter understand conservatism, recognize that they are conservative, and persuade them to vote their conservative values.

As we have discussed in our Voter Education Townhalls and Boot Camps, perception and “optics” (the new political buzzword) are extremely important when delivering a message.  The face of the person delivering the message and the way the words of the message are crafted are equally critical.  Thus, I’ll be featured as the spokesperson within the ads – a face of color helping voters of color understand conservatism.

You’ll also notice the hip-hop music for background, the fast-pace cutting, and an aggressive delivery of the lines.

We hope that you’re pleased with this first of many TV ads that are to come.  Another dealing with the income tax is in production, now.

Help us to make our media buys for this spot and the ones to come.  We are asking each of our supporters and financial partners to make a contribution of $35 or more for the purpose of airing our media assault on liberalism in several markets.

Urgent Announcement
Texas Open Seats

We’ve just received information on Harris County district OPEN SEATS in the Texas legislature. The following districts have NO REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE on the ticket.

House districts: 131, 134, 137, 139, 140, 142, 143, 145, 146, 147, 149,
Senate districts: 6.

If you have ever considered running now is the time to step up. The liberal agenda is to “Turn Texas Blue”. We cannot let that happen. Allowing the left to run unopposed is tantamount to handing them the State of Texas on a platter. We MUST RUN or find conservatives who WILL.

Quick facts about the Texas Legislature:

  • The Texas legislature is in session for 5-6 months every 2 years
  • The deadline for getting on the ballot is Jan 4th!
  • Cost to get on the ballot – House seat $750, Senate $1,200
  • If running unopposed a candidate will not need funds for a primary race
  • The candidate will have to live in the district he/she runs in to be eligible for a state position
  • There are 11 State House seats and 1 State Senate seat WITHOUT A REPUBLICAN running

We need candidates to run against the Dems in the following OPEN SEATS:
House districts: 131, 134, 137, 139, 140, 142, 143, 145, 146, 147, 149
Senate district: 6

How do you find out where you live and where the open seats are? Here is a link to the district maps.

What to Do:
1. Click on the FIND icon, select ‘county’ then type in Harris. A new map will come up
2. Click on the SELECT PLAN icon, select ‘overlay plan’
3.. A new window opens: Select either the 1st (current state senate dists) or 3rd (current state house dists) options for state senate or house seats.

The highest priority state house seats to fill are dists 134 (MeyerLand) & 137 (Sharpstown).

Training
What: Training #3 (to work in Montgomery County)
When: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:30pm
Where: Denny’s Restaurant, 29668 IH 45, Woodlands, TX 77381

Many thanks to Brian Crumby of the Conservative Coalition of Montgomery County for conducting this training with us!

For those interested in getting involved in shaping local politics, there is unbelievable opportunity!

Nearly half of the Republican precinct chairs in Harris County alone lie vacant, and positions in Harris and Montgomery counties need to be filled. Precinct chairs are the backbone of county parties. There are 425 Republican Precinct Chair vacancies in Harris County alone. Both in Harris and Montgomery County, all precinct chair positions are for a term of two years and all come up for re-election in 2010.

How would you like your precinct chair to completely reflect your issues and concerns? If you are the precinct chair, he or she will.

Precinct Chairs represent their party and work within their precinct in the following areas:

* Canvass, organize and campaign,
* Serve on County Executive Committees, and as a Primary election judge, and
* Conduct precinct conventions.

In all open precincts, chances are you will run unopposed and will win. Learn more about this chance to influence the party and become a part of real change that you can believe in.

Open to the public, ” Be A Precinct Chair: How to Really Influence Local Politics ” workshop is free of charge, although individuals can order off the IHOP menu as they desire. We ask that you RSVP so we can prepare for you.
