150 more years and mission accomplished. And the Left has the wicked, demonic nerve to call the GOP and the Tea Party racist? THIS is the spirit of the Democratic Party, from its inception until …

Romney Wins More Gay Than Black Votes

Submitted by on December 25, 2012 – 9:30 amNo Comment

Mitt #1Buried toward the bottom of the CBS News exit polling for the 2012 presidential election are some very important identifiers.  As you get the near the bottom of the survey, as if buried on purpose, you’ll find questions dealing with marital and parental status.  You’ll also find the identifier for sexual orientation.

For all the influence that is exercised by the gay lobby, they comprise only 5% of the electorate.  According to the CBS News exit poll, 22% of the gay vote went to Mitt Romney.

In comparison, Mitt Romney received a mere 7% of the black vote.  However, because the black share of the electorate is 13%, Gov. Romney received a scant 60,189 more black votes than gay.

On a percentage basis, Gov. Romney did receive more gay votes than black votes: 22% to 7%.

The shocking statistic is that Gov. Romney did receive more popular gay votes than black male votes. The black male portion of the electorate is identical to the gay share at 5%.  With Romney winning 13% of the black male vote, he won 568,000+ more gay votes than black males.

The Republican Party is routinely labeled as homophobic because of its stance published in the party platform opposing same-sex marriage.  The party’s voting base is nothing of the sort. They have no tolerance for discrimination.  They are, however, staunch defenders of the Biblical definition of marriage and have no interest in seeing that definition amended.

In the face of this fact – and the relentless messaging machine of the Left that so easily slings the homophobia pejorative at conservatives – the GOP presidential nominee received nearly one quarter of the self-identified gay vote.

The stinging lesson to take away from the poll is that the Republican Party brand is so tarnished in the black community that the gay community is more comfortable voting for Republicans than the black community.  Please keep in mind that these are the same black voters that consistently vote 60+% against same-sex marriage when the issue is put on the ballot.

These facts can only be considered a badge of shame for the Republican Party.  Unfortunately, it seems that there are currently no feasible plans floating around party headquarters around the country to rectify this embarrassing electoral reality.
